DVD Movie Factory 3.0 SE
I am converting analog tapes to digital. I want to create DVDs. When I originally tried to do this I got an error saying that a the was a problem with the source file (5003), then it said it could not open the source file (14252:1:0). So I thought I'd see if there was an update and I downloaded the update. Now when I try to use the software, it does not respond to the next button on the Start Project screen. This is pretty frustrating. I have never done this type of thing before on my computer so I am VERY new to trying to do this. I have over 80GB of free space on my computer. Thanks for any help.
There probably IS something wrong with your source-video file. (All of my weird problems have been caused by "bad" video files.)
What capture hardware / software did you use? (How did you get the analog video onto your hard drive?)
What format is the video file? (DV is usually trouble free. MPEG and other highly-compressed formats seem to cause more trouble.)
The Read this First... post will tell you what we need to know in order to start helping you.

Digital video editing and DVD authoring are complicated... And, analog capture is the trickiest part. Everybody is using different hardware, different file formats, and everybody has different kinds of edits to get to their particular goal. This is pretty frustrating.
