failed to build mpeg capture graph

I am using the ADS VideoMPX with VS8 SE. Capturing worked fine for a while, now I get "Failed to build MPEG Capture Graph or Unable to Connect to MPEG Capture Bin" error message. Has anyone come across this error message before? I have an HPzd7000 laptop and have restarted and re-seeded the capture device.

Sorry for double posting here but I need some help if possible. Has anyone had this error message before? I don't think it is a hardware issue because I can capture AVI fine. I have scoured this forum looking for an answer but have come up empty. Anyone....

When you are trying to capture direct to MPEG (not greatly recommended, particularly if your computer is not particularly powerful), does VS 8 SE automatically reset the capture plug-in to the 'Ulead DSW MPEG Capture Plug-in'? If not, you should set that manually by going to Tools > Change Capture Plug-in.
