I was refered here by another forum in reference to the Hitachi DZ-MV550A miniDVD camcorder.
I record the video and export the video with DVD Movie Album (provided software) and store it on my hard drive. I use RAMS discs and export directly from the camera, as I do not have a RAM capable reader drive.
Problem - Upon exportation, the .mpg file will only play on Windows Media Player. I only planned on burning DVD movies when necessary. When attempting a burn, it will either not allow this action or, if the action is allowed, the file has lost critical components that would allow a DVD creation. I was told that the possible problem was the exportation direct from the camera and not a drive. The software would be the issue versus direct copy. This is unconfirmable at this time.
Question - If indeed that the exported files lost critical components that encoded/changed the files not appropriate for DVD creation, is there software available to recover those file to make them suitable to burn a DVD movie?
Also, I am soliciting recommendations for software that I can use to export, edit, and burn DVD movies as opposed to the default software I currently use?
Suggestions please...
Thanks
Jeremy
