Synch'ing a animated title to Video.

Post by welchb »

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me with this one -->

I'm putting together a small birthday video and using one of the standard Ulead overlay's (V06) -- the Red and Orange Ballons' that float up the screen with Cards attached.

I'd like my title text to be "on the Cards" so that this floats up at the same speed location as the video clip -- is this possible ?

I've entered a Title and can animate this to scroll up the screen but it's not in-sync with the video.

Any help would be great.

Thanks & Rgerds,

Brian

You adjust the speed of the scroll by changing the length of the title. Short title=fast scroll. Trial and error would be the only way to perfect what you want to do.

Hi Brian

Interesting question.

I have just tried but struggled with the text.

Decided to reverse the video file, this time I could set the text to the cards.

I used two titles, the first with no animation at 5 seconds and the other with Fly at 2 seconds.

Created the first with Happy Birthday in the left card and Brian in the right one.

Copy this to the library, then drag back to the timeline adjacent to first title.
This ensures that the text is in the same position.
Change the animation for the second title to Fly--Middle to Down for both text but added a 7 frame delay to Happy Birthday.

Rendered to a video file.
Used file in new project to reverse video, rendered again.

Result looks good. Except for the left text not being square on the card.

Can e-mail the VSP if you wish.

Good luck

Welch.. how about varying the "playback" speed of the video clip...you can
slow it down to match the speed of the moving title ?
