I'm new to VS - using version 7.
Trying to convert a VHS to DVD. Preview is fine but when I try to capture into MPEG format it plays back too fast. Testing with a 14 second clip plays back as a 4 second clip.
Using Hauppauge WinTV USB adaptor.
MPEG plays back too fast

Thank you for your reply.
Although your solution does slow the playback down to the correct speed, due to the massive decrease required (needs to playback at 35% of the recorded speed), there is also a massive degradation in sound and picture quality. The sound also moves out of sync very quickly (within 2 minutes).
This would be unacceptable for the 2 hour video I want to transfer to DVD.
From all the problems I've read here regarding VS, I've decided that it is worthless for me. I get along great with DMF3 copying my camcorder tapes direct to DVD and creating slideshows.
I'm going out to buy a Dazzle DVC90 which has the hardware and software together. Sounds like a better option than using software that might work with my own hardware (if at all).
Thanks again but I'm giving up on VS.
