Hi Boys
Sorry for going off topic, just a little.
The reply was directed to Heinz-oz regarding re-linking the VSP.s. (After relinking (didn't pay much attention) I had images in there that didn't belong.)
I will do a little write-up on re-linking¡Xsoon that is.
If Timincal manages to open the Vsp, then the re-link box will provide info regarding the file name and location.
If the video files exist then the info may well be useful.
Anyone can open the vsp¡¦s, and as said before, if you wish e-mail them.
Good luck
Trevor
Converting VSP to another format

I too have a project (in .VSP format) I wish to burn with NERO (as I have read that NERO is supposed to be the best for burning, and I have also tried to burn this project (twice)with ULEAD with no success.I have ULEAD VidStud 9 on my computer). I really don't know if NERO would be any better, but I have burned literally 1000's of dvd's with it perfectly every time. I like this ULEAD proggy so much more than NERO for editing, but the burning has my head spinning. The first attempt failed because I wasn't linking the music (went back into edit and fixed that)-re-did menus, then burn. ULEAD started up the burn. I went to bed 3 hours later and it was still processing. So far , so good. Got up this morning and a pop-up screen said "target not met"-"re-try or re-boot"?-Clicked on re-try; pop-up said "DVDburner...satx1-...." not found (or not working properly-Iwas half asleep). Closed the program and computer and went to work. I am going to try again tonight with both proggy's and see if I missed something yesterday. It should be noted that I have set the "target" folder in my "D" drive (93% empty)-"C" drive is only 9% empty. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks.

As I said in my first posting in this thread, VSP files are project files (Video Studio Project = VSP) and are not actually video files. So at the outset it is wrong to think of them, as you apparently do, as a format. As you will see they are small, and in effect are only a road map, telling the program what video files were included in the project, where they are located on your computer and what editing has been done to them.
Although it is apparently possible to insert them in the burning module and burn them successfully to disc, particularly in VS10, historically (I have been on this Board for 5 years) the general experience of doing this is that it either fails outright or else creates more problems than it is worth. That is why the Recommended Procedure in the top sticky post was developed.
Have a read of that post. But essentially, when you have finished your editing, and with your project (VSP) still in the timeline, you go to Share > Create Video File > DVD and actually create a new file which incorporates the edited project in a DVD-compliant mpeg-2 format. Then you close the project, and with an empty timeline, go to Share > Create Disc > DVD, insert that new mpeg-2 (or mpeg-2s), create your menu and burn either to disc or to an image file ISO or DVD folder Video_TS.
