Clicking on the "Jog Slider" changes preview quali

Post by pjfiedler »

I have looked through the online help and searched the forum, but haven't found an answer to the following.

I have a project with some JPG photos and video clips. When I click on a jpg photo or video clip in my storyboard, I get a nice, clear and bright preview of the clip in the preview window. However, whenever I click down on the "jog slider" (under the preview window), the preview changes to a darker, fuzzer version of the clicked on jpg or video clip. I prefer the lighter clear version, but I think I get the darker fuzzer version when I create a DVD. The only thing that I have done is to change the "gamma" on my video clips.

Hi

The version you should get on the dvd is the project view rather than the clip view.

If you have added filters to your clips you will see the difference when switching views. Watch the words Project or Clip change colour as you change views.

Thanks, but I think I need to clarify. After selecting a clip in my storyboard, the preview window shows the image of the jpg or first frame of the video that I selected. Then, when I left-click-down on the "jog slider" the displayed image in the preview window changes in quality (i.e. to a darker, fuzzier view of the same frame). I can try sending a before/after screen shot if that helps.

but have you actually tried it ?? - the image in your preview window changes to 'preview mode' when you try to move the jog slider - it should not affect the final video on your DVD.
