Streatching Pictures.

Post by Coast Starlight »

I am haveing an odd issue with my ulead editor. I have a Sony HDR-HC1 video camera that I use to take both video and digital pictures with. I purchased the Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 editor due to the fact that it had an option for unstreatching my pictures. I take pictures in a resolution of 640X480. When I incert the pictures in to the time line they are streatched a lot and very distorted.

So to fix this issue I would simply right click on a group of pictures and choose "Media Source Options". Then from there in the media source options dialog box I would click on the pull down menue next to "Stretch Mode" and choose an option that would make my pictures into normal size. I have been doing this for about a year now makeing my pictures into normal size so they are not streatched when burned on to a DVD.

Well I just recently returned from a long Thanksgiving trip to Arizona. I downloaded my digital pictures on to the computer and then incerted them into the time line. I right clicked on them and choose the Media Source Options like I always have been doing to make my pictures into normal size.

Well I went to do that and for some unexpalinable reason the "streatch Mode" option is compleatly grayed out. I can no longer click on it to make the pictures into the resolution that I want.

I compleatly uninstalled and re-installed the media studio Pro 8 and the Stretch Mode option that I have always used has compleatly grayed out and vanished. It will no longer come back even after a full un install and re install. No longer possible to click on it and fix my pictures from being streatched.

Why did that option compleatly vanish and how do I get it back?

Below is a print screen that I made to give an idea as to what I am talking about. Note the words "streatch Mode" compleatly grayed out and no longer useable.

Please try this:

Go to the Project/Project Settings menu item or press Alt+Enter to bring up the Project Settings dialog.

Click on the Edit button.

On the Video Editor tab, turn on the Perform non-square pixel rendering option and click OK.

You will get a warning that the video preview cache may be cleared, click OK.

Bring up the media source options for your image. Hopefully, you will now be able to select stretch mode.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I shall try that and see how it goes. I will post again if I do have success.

If it is like you should try yhe movingpaths. use the basic movingpath and turn on keep aspect ratio. use the same size for each keyframe. I think taht's all..
