PhotoImpact print preview
When using PhotoImpact 7 after adjusting picture details I would go to print preview to view my results before printing. I would then goto the printer box and set my printer properties for paper type, borderless, quality, etc. I could then close the print preview box and reedit my picture if necessary and go back to print preview and ALL print settings would remain the same (paper type, borderless etc). This was GREAT, I could even open up new pictures as long as I did not close the program all printer settings stayed the same. This is a real time saver when doing numerous pictures. The problem I`am having is after upgrading to PhotoImpact 10 and I do the exact same thing regarding printview, once I close this box and goto the main program and back to print preview all printer settings are lost. I then have to go back into printer properties and reset the paper type, borderless, etc. This takes a lot of time that I did not have to before. I have a Canon 4000 printer and have tried reinstalling the print driver but this did not help. Any help would be appreciated.

I have never used PI for printing directly. Admittedly, neither have I used PI 7. I only started to use PI from the version PI XL. AFAIK, the print module works the way you describe it, it will always default back when you close the print module. At least on my machine it always did.
I have a Canon iP5000 printer and always use its driver to print from the Canon print box. No such hassles and, whatever change I make to the actual image in PI, once saved, will reflect in the image to be printed.
