Sony BCR300 W/O Audio on Firewire

Post by Kellie »

Hi,

I sure hope someone can help me. At my church, we are using a Sony BCR300 remote digital video camera. It connects to our computer through the the firewire input jack on the SoundBlaster audio card. VideoStudio 10 works just fine to capture the video and it looks really good, however, the camera does not supply the audio. The audio comes from our sound board into the Line-In jack on the SoundBlaster audio card.

I would think that setting up VideoStudio 10 would be easy to configure where to get the Video from (Source) and where to get the Audio from, however there seems to be no way I can figure out how to do that. When the camera is connected, it uses Sony -- MDV. Unlike other drivers, it is assuming the camera (firewire) contains the audio. But in this case it does not, it is externally supplied.

Is there a different camera driver I can use or some setting that I cannot figure out how to set that will solve this problem for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Check that you have selected the correct audio input source in the Windows Volume Control Recording Panel.

Here it is in pictures
