hi,
ive contacted support about trying to create a DVD from media taken from other DVDs. i can create a project all day, but i have yet to be able to actually burn a damn dvd.
the tech asked what happens when i try to create an image. i went through what i thought was the proper process, and after an hour's wait, it said everything was done successful. overjoyed, i went to see how big the ISO was.
but there was no iso. nothing was created. nothing happened. an hour of processing for NOTHING.
can anyone point me to a resource on how to properly create an ISO with this program? i am at my wit's end with this!!
[MF4] how do i create an image?

When you are ready to burn a DVD, (after you have added all the video clips, menus, titles, etc..), you uncheck Record to disc, and then click on the drop down button on the right side, which will expand providing the options to Create DVD Folders, and Create Disc Image File. The latter, (Create Disc Image File) is what you need to check. Now click on the Folder icon to the right of the input box to navigate to a drive and folder to where you want the ISO file to be created to. Click Burn, and DMF4 will produce an ISO file where you told it to. Then remember where that is located on your system, and when you want to produce a DVD using the ISO, retrieve it from where it was recorded to.
Here is a screenshot where you can see the various burn options..
