Hi everyone,
I am not newer. My old username was Sultanman. You know me, smile.
I checked Windows Vista upgrade and test it. It say Ulead Videostudio will not work with Vista. What do you think about Vista? Will VS work with Vista?
I ask you if you know about 8mm reels and Super 8 reels. How do I get special like S-VHS to transfer to my computer. I have old 8mm and Super 8 reels. it was 1965's Any idea where I get special equipment for it?
Thanks,
Lil Danny

Please view Converting super 8 films to see how I did mine. There are other methods some though are very expensive using telecine equipment.

Hi,
To convert 8mm or Super 8 mm film to MiniDV I simply projected the 8mm onto a very white screen, then focused it into a 2 sq ft picture,
- aimed my MiniDV camera at it, focused it in camcorder manual mode,
- shut off all camcorder light enhancing modes to avoid a strobing effect.
- then using 1/60 sec, videotaped the projected film at standard speed.
It worked well but until I used a projected snow scene to get white balance the colours were off. After light balance everything seemed ok and the MiniDV picture was comfortable to view with almost no flicker.
