I'm wondering if there are plans to release a version without external programs. If you want them, then tick a box during the checkout and pay a little extra for them.
I already have WinDVD.
Without WinDVD?

Re: Without WinDVD?
Hey Scott, since Intervideo bought into Ulead, I suspect the cut-down version of WinDVD is bundled almost for free - or for the cost of a bottle of Irn Bru, perhaps, so there wouldn't be too much of a saving.chen lung wrote:I'm wondering if there are plans to release a version without external programs. Ah, so it's cut down (maybe because it's the silver version - or watered-down further)? Only WinDVD 8 can play HD so why is WinDVD 7 being included?
Is it possible to get your full version of 'WinDVD' into Ulead software so that all functions work?
The standard versions doesn't include WinDVD but it misses out a few features the Plus has.
Maybe the player is also a trial?
Thanks for the info guys

The WinDVD version in UVS 10 Plus is WinDVD 7 Sliver, which is a basic version of WinDVD. It will give you some basic capabilities to play video files you have and let you have a taste with WinDVD. If you wish to get more features such as HD, you can choose to buy WinDVD 8 Gold or Platinum in a upgrade price.

For the benefit of the OP could you clarify:htchien wrote:The WinDVD version in UVS 10 Plus is WinDVD 7 Sliver, which is a basic version of WinDVD. If he already has WinDVD 8 Gold installed - will the installation of WinDVD Silver affect that installation. If so would he have to re-install WinDVD Gold afterwards?

You can find the answer in DVDMF Product FAQ, it would be the same with the WinDVD version in UVS 10 Plus.

Thanks
I have 'WinDVD Platinum 7'
.
So you can create with HD but not really play it.
My next (and probably last) problem is capturing 'Mini-DV' from my camcorder. 'DVD Workshop 2' does it fine (maybe the odd frame missing and a short spell of digital blocks) compred to 'Media Studio Pro 8' which drops lots of frames. I hope 'Video Studio 10 Pro' is OK
