Capturing, Editing ok but when I want to create DVD menu I can,t write and change some Turkish fonts on the "My Tittle "and "Untidled" section. My windows hasTurkish language.I changed the windows default fonts with Turkish fonts but it never works.
What can I do.
Others may be able to offer more technical help, but have you tried simply copying and pasting from a Turkish language word processing program (e.g. Word for Windows) into Video Studio?
To do so successfully, you cannot use Copy and Paste commands with your mouse within Video Studio. Instead, you have to highlight the words in Word, then either right click and Copy them or else highlight them then click Ctrl+C Then put your mouse cursor in the Title section of Video Studio and click Ctrl+V which will insert the words...
Thank you for advice. I tried it but doesn't work. I copied or wrote the big or small Turkish letters than ok but I click the mouse it was changed.I have some screen captures here. Photos may be help you.
Yes -- I just tried it and had a similar result. It obviously has something to do with the character sets that Video Studio uses. I assume you are using the English language version of Video Studio (and I confess I don't even know if there is a Turkish version). So I can't help ... afferdersiniz! İyi şanslar!!
I know there are French, Japanese and Chinese, and possibly German, versions of the program. There may be others, but I don't know about Turkish. These other versions, as far as I am aware, are only sold in the countries concerned. In other words, unlike some other programs, you cannot choose a different language when you install the English version -- only the country you come from and TV system in that country.
I also don't know which character set(s) Video Studio uses by default in the English language edition and whether it can recognise other language character sets such as the huge variety (including Turkish) which are available in Windows XP. The Turkish letters I used in my own test were from the Latin Extended-A set, and I would have thought this to be rock-standard for just about any other program. But once inserted in VS, neither the İ nor the Ş would remain, converting in my case to I and S... (different from your own case).
The only thing I can suggest is that instead of using Video Studio's in-built ability to create titles, you should create one in Turkish using another graphics program, either as an animation/avi if you have a program which will do that in Turkish, or else as a static title on a coloured or transparent background. Then import that into VS.
Following on from my last post and suggestion, I have had a look at Ulead's Cool 3D program, which is part of the VS package, and is, of course, used to create great still and moving Titles. Unfortunately, it too seems unable to accept Turkish or other unusual letters e.g. from Polish, though it seems to accept fairly standard ones from French, Spanish and German.
However, I use Cool 3D Production Studio, which is the 'big brother' of Cool 3D, and it happily accepts Turkish letters -- and even has a setting in the text box which specifies Turkish. So I imagine if you have a Turkish keyboard and set that as your working language in Production Studio, you could produce a very effective Turkish title and then export that to Video Studio. If you don't use a Turkish keyboard, you can do as I did and simply do the Turkish title in Word, then paste it into Production Studio's text box...
I also use Xara 3D as another titling program. It is not capable of producing as many dazzling effects as Cool 3D, but is still impressive and very much faster than Cool 3D. I have found that at least some, though certainly not all, of its font sets will accept Turkish letters. Certainly enough to give you a real variety if you were to choose this program. Xara costs US$55 from xara.com
I am not sure of the cost of Production Studio as the Ulead site is responding incredibly slowly still. But you could use the Cool 3D which came with VS as the basis of getting the upgrade price (which is what I did about 4 years ago) and the upgrade price is US$79.95.
When I was using VS-9 It doesn't have same language problem I know.I prefered the VS-10 because It has new abilities and properties like HDefinition. I used before Cool 3D and Xara may be solve but those are very difficult for this job. I prefer to make everythink with VS-10. I don't want to work with another software.Maybe ULEAD makes language pack or patch later.Thank you for help again see you.
I will let Ulead know about the issue, thanks for reporting.
