My PC is struggling with all the video and graphics work I'm now doing. Most people I've spoken with say get a Mac for graphic work.
If I do decide to get a Mac is there a version of VideoStudio which will run on it?
Thanks
What to do on a MAC?

That is true but, though not a Mac user at all, I know from a couple of friends who do have them, that Mac has its own excellent video editing programs -- one at entry level which is pretty good; and a very good prosumer package as well. So I am not sure about the utility of setting up XP if the main objective was to use VS...

VS is for PC world only. If you wish to use VS on a Intel Mac, you need to use either one of the following options:
1. Apple BootCamp: to install a dual boot system with Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista on the Intel Mac, and use VS on the Windows XP/Vista platform.
http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp
2. Install virtual machines like Parallel Desktop or VMWare on your Intel Mac system and install Windows XP / Vista in those virtual machines.
Parallel Desktop for Mac:

VMWare for Mac:

Use option 1 might get you some driver compatibility issues with the Apple Intel Mac, and use option 2 might get you performance issue because virtual machines will run slower.

Re: What to do on a MAC?
It's clear to me at least that the reason your pc is struggling is because, looking at your "system" details, you don't have a pc!pagallery wrote:My PC is struggling with all the video and graphics work I'm now doing. Most people I've spoken with say get a Mac for graphic work.

I'm not a MAC man, but know plenty who are. The greatest thing about MACs to my mind is the OS - otherwise, for any given level of performance, you pay more for a MAC than a pc, though the differential may be narrowing now that they're using Intel cpu's in MACs.
In the past, MACs were better for graphics, and remain the industry standard for things like graphics work and in the music business. If you're doing it for a living, you get tired of having to maintain the Windows OS and deal with its shortcomings.
Right now, though, if you can put your own pc together, you can build a really powerful system for a relatively modest outlay. The fastest machines are pc's, not MACs.
