Capture Freeze

Capture Freeze
My capture freezes after about 1 minute. I have lots of hard drive space. I am using a pentium 3 550 with an ATI All-in-wonder video card. Can anyone shed some light on the problem?

A processor that old is really not up to the job of video editing with VS 7 or 8, particularly if you are trying to capture direct to MPEG-2 format. You don't give enough information to make any further informed comments. We need to know what you are trying to capture, and the format of the capture. I assume you are trying to capture analogue video or TV broadcasts, and are probably trying to do it direct to MPEG-2 format. I also have never used that particular card, but does it have any capacity to capture to DV/AVI format instead of MPEG?
