I burned a DVD, but the images that play on the tv cut off the edges - especially at the sides - so that any text that was on the original slide when it was saved as an mpg are not visible as the dvd plays.
Is there a way to fix this or to avoid it on future projects?

This will always happen if you do not keep your text within the "safe Area" shown in the preview window, - if you cannot see the safe area then go to 'File >> Preferences ' and check the "Display title safe area in Preview window"
The preview screen on your PC will show the 'overscan area' which is always cut off on a TV screen - so always make sure you stay well away from the edges in any editing programme preview window.

Re: size of DVD slides
Hi
This border will act as the safe area when viewed on the tv, you will not see much of the border but should see all the image.
In addition the black border also looks good on transitions.

If the text is on the original and not from VS then you will have to use an image editor (photoshop) to add a 10% black border to every image. Batch processing makes it easy.patopsf wrote:so that any text that was on the original slide when it was saved as an mpg are not visible as the dvd plays.
