Shutting Down Repeatedly!
Please someone, anyone...tellme why my Ulead program continuously shuts down every few minutes while I am editing the audio & effect??!! I have already installed a patch to correct whatever incompatibility exists with some media player per this website. This is SO frustrating always saving a change immediately after I make it and then constantly having to re-start the program!!! It has added hours to my time! Also, I cannot preview the visual portion of the slideshow. It only plays the audio with a black screen until I hit stop or pause and it shows the current picture in that time space. HELP!!

You will have to give us a bit more info, we have nothing to base any advice on.

Shutting Down Repeatedly!
Nature of the problem - (1) Ulead freezes up and I have to right click and close OR I get a Microsoft error message asking if I want to send a report OR the whole program just closes down suddenly and without warning. (2) During Preview, I can only hear the audio but can see nothing except a black screen. If I hit Pause or Stop, the current image at that time and place in the slideshow appears.
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?) - using all jpg's and mp3 files from my hard drive. The sizes are anywhere from 30kb to a few MB in size.
What devices are involved and their mode of connection? - just Ulead program files
Project Settings - Default (General)
Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD) - SVCD
PAL or NTSC - set to United States of America
Error Codes (if any) - only the Microsoft error, none from Ulead
System information - Windows XP Home Edition, intel dual core 2.8 ghz processor, with 2 gigs of PC4200 RAM, 160 gig hard drive, Radeon X600 graphics card w/ 256 MB onboard memory.

so that we can then view your system specifications without the need for you to re-enter them each time you post.
I think the first step you need to try is to follow the steps in this link:
Reinstallation Procedure
I think all of your problems are related so to avoid confusion we will deal with them here.sweetsabo wrote:Okay, so I get my whole project done and try to preview it under the Gallery or Menu menus. I hear the music playing, but I see no pictures! If I click on the stop or pause buttons, the current (hidden) picture suddenly shows up. So, I end up wasting DVD's when I have to burn them, then watch them on my TV's DVD player to check the slideshow out...I will inevitably find an error and will have to edit and re-burn a new DVD.
How come I cannot see the preview?? This is very frustrating.
Thank you to all the Ulead gods who can help me!

Ulead DVD & CD Picture Lab 4 - FR - Same issue
I'm not so sure this problem is PC related because I'm running a French version (4.0.0.1) of CD & DVD Picture Lab and I have the exact same issue...
The application suddenly freezes with a microsoft error when I'm editing the timeline (audio and transitions between images). This was never the case when using version 3 before...
I'm also using .jpg and .mp3 files from my hard drive.
My PC is a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ with NVidia Geforce 6100 graphics and 1GB of samsung DDR + sata 2 hdd (samsung spinpoint).
Any advice is welcomed ;-)
Thx

System specs sompleted, and then?
Thanks sjj1805 for your fast reply, I have just completed my detailed system specs.
As well, please find here below a screenshot of the detailed error (french version, sorry!):

Also, I have unactivated my 7.1 audio onboard feature (in the bios) and I'm currently using external USB sound system from Yamaha (YST-MS35D).
Thanks again for your possible help ![/url]
