GIF: GA5 can provide SFX for 3D programs

Post by seachnasaigh »

I've realized that I can make AVI movies in GIF Animator 5 which can be used in my 3D program to provide special effects. I just wanted to show off some of my doodling.

The Christmas season is officially opened, now that Tinkerbell has light the star atop the tree. :D

The burst of pixie dust was done with the GIF-X 2.0 plug-in in GA5. The star atop the tree is a Bezier path object drawn in PI12; the pixie wings are spline objects drawn in PI12. These were imported into a 3D program and the frames rendered out; the animation was compiled in GA5.

I improved the sharpness of the pixie dust by using greyscale output from GIF-X 2.0 / GA5 and only adding color once it had been imported into the 3D program.

Excellent samples. We ought to have a forum for members to be able to post links to some of their sample videos, animations and so on so that other forum members can see what other members are doing with their Ulead Software.

Well Done :D

Well, there is the PhotoImpact International Board... The Animation Station forum is where I hang out! Mostly for PI and GIF Animator, though. I'm sure there are other places out there somewhere.

Very nice works, there! :D
