I do not expect to get any complaints from any moderator of this forum if I suggest to you to take your problems to a more competent forum. If there has been anything PATHETIC about the whole thing, it's your response.wh5916 wrote:.....
By the way, sir...there are programs out there that are backwards compatible ( wow, are we going backwards to VISTA??? all the way back to Windows 95. To expect a program such as VS 10 to work with Vista is not THAT unreasonable, and the person's question did not warrant your rude response. Many programs that worked with Windows XP and earlier releases DO work properly with Vista! It's not comparing Ford with Chevrolet, or DVD with LP--that's a totally asinine comparison. If the individual who started this thread was expecting VS 10 to work properly with OS X, then I might be in agreement--but I still wouldn't be in agreement with your attitude.
BTW--to the individual who insists that Vista is still in beta--it has been OUT of Beta for several weeks...since November 8th, if you want a date. The finalized version will be hitting stores in late January for the average consumer, ( I regret being the one to pee in your soup here but are you aware that this is a Ulead user forum? The emphasys is on user. There are no pro's here in general. As long as the avarage user cannot access this super duper OS, how on earth do you expect them to help with your experiments? and is even available for download for folks who participated in the Beta program and filed at least one bug report. Folks who have a paid MSDN subscription are also free to download the final version at this point.
This is anything except a "help" forum...it is PATHETIC.

I hear ya! If not for the previous two threads about this, I would have been reluctant to express myself as I did, but I don't think I was anything but pragmatic and truthful. It's funny that those who are now calling me rude are the ones who have completely disregarded the ownership and purpose of this forum in order to selfishly ask their irrelevant questions. Bottom line: VS was designed to work with Windows XP. That is doesn't work properly with Vista is a Microsoft failing at this point in time, not Ulead's. Those early adopters wanting to experiment with Vista should do so knowing there is not likely any support available to them beyond forums where such experimentation is encouraged. Looking for such support here is just a waste of bandwidth.heinz-oz wrote:You are welcome![]()
I was in two minds at first about responding to this. I can only take so much cr*p before I snap though.

Gents, this is now getting off the original topic which is a query regarding the use of VideoStudio 10 on a Vista Operating system whether it is in Beta Format or otherwise.
The simple answer is that this has already been addressed in a number of other threads on this forum. A search on the word VISTA will yield a number of results.
