Wav form display VS10+

Post by lancecarr »

Can anyone let me know whether the wav form display in VS10+ is actually large enough to enable the user to edit video clips in time with music?
Does it display in a manner that allows the user to be able to see beats in music?

Hi

I have just inserted auto tune ¡¥Tribal Theory¡¦ a nice beat to the tune

The wave form does seem to follow the beat of the music.
This may help with editing, when locating a cut position.

Thanks for answering.
Hardly a glowing recommendation there Trevor!
Is the wav form tall enough to clearly show at least likely beat points in the pattern?

Hi

Yes there is sufficient info in the wave form to identify the beats.

The downside is that the display is too small, being only part or the video clip.

It would be advantageous if the audio display filled the entire clip.

Thanks Trevor,
I have a travelling sequence that I want to cut down severely so cutting to the beats will keep it interesting. Doing it "blind" is just so laborious.
Been meaning to upgrade for awhile now so I guess it's time.
Thanks again.

I have also edited to the waveform. Very handy.
