VS8 Fails to Burn

I am capturing video from a VCR using WINpVR. The file is captured as Mpeg2 which the book recommends. We are then using Videostudio 8 to create the disc. It goes through the whole process and at the very end we get a window that says "cannot open file (93006:1:0)". We are at our wits end with this. No one locally can offer any advice.
System is P4 2.8ghz, 512 RAM with onboard video and sound and generic cd burner.
