So was VS10 worth the purchase?
I have been using VS9 now for about 2 years and am quite happy with it. I am thinking about moving up to VS10, but am not sure about it. Is there any significant advantages that would warrant the move and the dollars?
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Just quoting from one of blacklabs posts in another thread today, to which you actually replied also
The other post was this one http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 1969#91969•HD Editing
•Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound
•Timeline Chapter Points
•Multiple Overlay Tracks
•New Video Filters
•Text Menus
•Multi-Trim Editor
None of these things were in version 7, 8 or 9.

Hi daddog,
This has been addressed a few times on the forum. Simply it has to be something that you feel would benefit you. I could list numerous pros and cons about each version. However that would be my opinion, which is tailored to my wants and needs.
First you say you have used VS9 for a couple of years, and are happy with it. Well that tells me that you really don't want or need to upgrade. If you are happy with how VS9 functions, and the results, then again, don't upgrade.
I don't regret it, for one feature, the 6 overlay tracks. If you like doing PIPs, having more then 1 on screen at time, or complex clips, with lower thirds, then VS10+ might interest you. I do have MSP8, however for consumer editor that is easy to use, having those additional tracks really helps in creating professional looking videos. I don't use the 5.1 dolby or the HD capability.
Ok here's the standard reply that most will give...
Download the trial version, and see what you think. While trying it out ask your self the questions... Is this worth my hard earned cash? Will I really use this? Will I benefit from the extra features?
Use it for a week or two to get to know it. Then fire up VS9 and use it. See if the question arises, I could do this or that easier with VS10 +?
Do I think it's worth the move and your dollars? Heck yes! It's your money we are talking about here, not mine.
