crashed when "building disc content" 100% complete

and video/audio multiplexing is just starting (at 0%).
The mpg file is 5.26 GB, (2 hours 21 minutes) but I am editing it down to 3.5 GB (93 minutes ) within MF 4
I'm confident the file is not corrupt as I just created it.
I tried creating straight to DVD and an iso file and it still crashes. I also tried no menus with both methods and it still crashes.
This is MADDENNING. What is going on?

MF 4.

Actually, MPEGs can get corrupted simply by editing them! It can be hard to tell... All of my corrupt MPEGs have played-back fine. The only way I can tell they are corrupt is from crashes or out-of-sync DVDs. :(

Is it possible for you to capture in DV (AVI/DV) format? You will get better results if you can do all of your editing in DV, and then convert to MPEG after all editing is done.

If that's not possible, you may need a special-purpose MPEG editor. Since I started editing my MPEGs with Womble, my Ulead programs don't crash, and I don't get "lip-sync" problems. Or, there are other work-arounds that might work for you .... Search the forum for "sync", and you will find lots of suggestions for working with MPEGs.
