selecting clips on multiple tracks

Post by jada »

Having trouble grouping clips on multiple tracks. I want to select downstream clips on multiple tracks. I used to track selection tool and clicked on the first clip, and the downstream clips were selected, but I cannot then do the same on other tracks. Have tried using the shift key, but that does nothing. I want to move everything down intact from the first clip selected. Used to be able to do this, now I cannot get it to work. Please help.

I'm going to give you a non-answer, but one you will thank me for. Multiple track selection is to be found on p. 60 of the MSP8 manual. I could, of course, just say the same things, but I want to make sure you read the whole manual, which is chock-full of good information.

What? You say you don't have a manual? Then download one - it's free! You can trace it from http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm

So, please do me a favour and read the manual.

Thanks for your reply, Devil. problem solved - a problem with my mouse. I did take your advise, and reread the manual, then opened video editor on my laptop, with the manual in front of me, and it worked. So went back to my editing machine, and still had the same problem. Afer about 8 hours of uninstalling, reinstalling, etc, I hooked up a corded mouse, and everything worked.
