I am trying to use MediaStudio7.0 SP2 to capture from my Sony DCR-PC350 miniDV camcorder.
When I start the VideoCapture program I get this message:
Cannot start the preview graph (15001:33:1) !
Has anybody seen this before ?
My camcorder is attached using FireWire, and I can see everything working fine. The camera is recognized and I can see it under Imaging devices. I am using Windows XP SP2.
Thanks a lot !

Use different Device Control
I've received this message if I use an incorrect Device Control plug-in. You can change it using the Setup=>Device Control menu. I use the MS 1394 device control, and it works fine.

I am using the MS 1394 one, but I still have the problem.
Also, I cannot control the camera through the Play, FF, etc. Those buttons are disabled.
I have also tried to capture from DVD MovieFactory and I get:
Cannot switch to capture mode. Check if your capture driver is working properly (13011:1:1)

Problem fixed !!!
I found the answer to my problem in another forum.
Here is what I did to make it work:
Just to a command prompt an type this:
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\qdv.dll
Run it and that did it for me ! I have no idea how come that dll was unregistered on my machine, but I am suspecting the SP2 for Windows XP to be the one to blame.
