Creating a website: forms??

Post by fancy »

Hi
Is it possible to create forms with photoimpact when you are creating a webiste. I have created a page, but I want to insert a form in it.
I was also wondering if it is possible to insert my own html from a form I have created on frontpage?

OR Can I use photoimpact as a plugin on frontpage? a bit like xara?
Any ideas welcome - thanks.

Well you can create the form with PhotoImpact, you could even create one in Microsoft Paint but to make it work requires quite a bit of understanding of how a web page works and the capabilities of your internet server.

Behind a 'form' there is a lot of code. This will vary dependant upon how you have built your website and what other software you have.
This can range from things like
Frontpage Extensions to PHP.
From Active Server Pages to CGI

Someone will no doubt take a shot at pointing you in the right direction but quite honestly it is beyond the scope of this forum which leans towards Videos and Photography.

What PhotoImpact does is create the HTML code for a webpage it creates. If you have looked at the code, it uses HTML , XHTL and can even code CSS. The pages it creates are based on tables. You can edit your code by either opening the created HTML document in Notepad or Frontpage. Then with Frontpage you could create your forms. I just finished a "quickie" website, using only PhotoImpact 12. I wanted to see just what it would produce. I was surprised to find that it displays properly in Firefox which was my real test. However I didn't need any forms, however I had read your post, and while doing this, looked througout PI for a means to do so, finding none..:(

For a look at a "cheesy" (like I said this was a quickie) website done entirely in PI (well and PhotoExplorer for the photoalbums, and Swish for a memorial page) just click on the WWW at the bottom of my post..
