Merging music/music overlay

Post by pagallery »

I'm using VS9 and want to merge some music tracks.

If I put both tracks on the audio timeline, fade out the first, fade in the second, is there a way of having both fades working simultaneously?

At the moment the only way I have found of doing it is to put one track on the audio timeline and the other on the voice recording timeline and overlapping them.

Also, can I control how long the fade in and fade out takes for a given piece of music?

Thanks

That is the only way to accomplish this to my knowledge.

I can't rember if the "audio view" is part of VS9 or not but if it is, select your audio then click the audio view button. A red line should appear in the audio. Use this line to control the audio levels.

I recommend Audacity to do any audio editing beyond VS capabilities.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

Adjusting Audio Fade In/Out time

Post by Ken Veal »

In the audio mixing panel via audio view - play the project whilst adjusting the volume fader- or in audio view select the track in the time line then click a point on the rubber band to add a key frame then drag the line up or down to adjust the volume at that point, repeat as needed. The default duration for all clips is set in the edit tab of Preferences
Hope this helps. regards Ken
