Fade into another picture
I can't figure out how to make if you have 2 pictures - one picture left side and one and right side and that there is no border/edge, they should be filled/faded in the middle...

What you are trying to do is easily done with masks. Have a look at my entry into the PI contest http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=17600 and see how I have combined a number of images into one.
Which version of PI do you use?
To teach the ins and outs of a program like PI to you would burst the confines of this forum. Have you read the manual?
To learn all there is to know about PI, may I suggest the free Beginners Workshop offered here http://www.pircnet.com/. You will be assigned a mentor and be giuded to use all the tools available in PI.

I am using version 11. I thought of buying version 12 but I think it causes some problems on my PC, I tried trial version and had some problems.
I still haven't found anything to help me, and that picture that you made is not what I have in mid.
You can make picture full transparent now. But what about not all transparent, but you can set like fill - from left to right transparent from 0 --> 100 or 50% transparent to 0% transparency...is it possibly?

It might not be exactly what you want, I'm aware of that. It shows however, that you can extract objects from other images and blend them together.
Just create a mask that fades one image on the right hand side and another fading on th left. If you then crate a canvas big enough to accomodate both pictures side by side, you can overlap the two by just the amount you want. Crop it afterwards to size and you are done.
Interesting point you are making about PI 11. I had a few problems with that, nothing that couldn't be solved mind you, except for the memory leak. But PI 12 has been behaving stable and reliable right from the start. There is nothing wrong with sticking with PI 11 if it works for you and gives you what you want. Ulead would have to come up with something really advanced to make me upgrade from PI 12.
You can check this site for masking tuts http://www.pircnet.com/

The link to Heinz's contest entry, lead to the contest section that was being run at that time. The contest expired a long time ago, thus the contest section was removed.
The link (to pirc.com) provided in Heinz's post just previous to yours will provide you with an incredible amount of tutorials. Do you really want to learn PI? Then sign up for the free course, Beginners Workshop.

I did sign up for the Beginners Workshop but apparently it is going to be weeks before I hear from anyone or I can get started. There must be quite a "backlog" of people like me trying to learn.vidoman wrote:The link to Heinz's contest entry, lead to the contest section that was being run at that time. Blending images
I'm sure this will work in PI11 & PI12
create a new image (project)
open the 2 images you want to blend
copy and past both images into the new image you created in step 1
These images will become objects in thier own layers
resize (transformal tool) move (pick tool) the objects so that they overlapp at the edges
Now select one of the objects and from the edit menu, select fade-out
the default settings in this dialog box works fine. but you should play around. Remember white colour REVEALS and balck CONSEALS. After you click ok, see the layer manager.Effectively you will have created a mask.
Repeat last step for the other object and you're done.
Hope this helps

An excellent tutorial on how to create your own masks can be found here http://wwell.net/tutorials/pi12/masks/index.htmlmatonanjin wrote:Your link in the PI contest is no longer there.
