I think they were dx50, Xvid, and one mpg. Maybe one DivX
I've done this before, but with a very drawn out method:
Edit using windows movie maker, and convert to avi/dvd file (huge, takes a couple of hours or so)
Change format to different avi file using Cool Edit Pro
Final edit, create menu & burn to DVD using Pinnacle instant CD/DVD - the software I got with my DVD writer (won't accept files from WMM direct).
All worked out by trial & error - no-one I know knew what to do.
I kind of hoped VideoStudio'd be more straightforward...
"convert title" takes way looooooong

Actually I've done one y41p file (whatever THAT means), which worked perfectly (1 hour).
Then I did 4 edited xvid widescreen vids down to just over 1 hour, and was done fine having left overnight.
And I confess I hadn't seen the "recommended method", so I edited the project, saved the project, cleared everything, then used tools->create disc, opened the project in the new window, and went from there.
Hey, I'm working this all out as I go along!

Just so you know (might be useful for moderators) - the recommended method worked. Took about 2 hours to convert to a 3+GB mpeg file, but then burnt in less than 30 minutes. SO it's the whole conversion thing that takes the time + effort.
But much better than any other program I've used, so full version ordered.
Thanks fellas!
