DVD Movie Factory won't write to my DVD

Post by chartsmalm »

I am using TY DVD-R's, designed for on disc printing. The DVD MF Disk utility reports the disks properly and empty. See:Image

Yet when I try to write a DVD, after a successful capture, I am told there is no disk or that it is not readable.
See:Image

I tried a direct write from the preview screen, and got the error message. And, then I wrote the capture to the HDD and tried to make the DVD from that. In both cases I got the "no disk" error message.

Maybe posting your workflow and describe more precisely what your trying to do.
I had captured a VHS tape and the program did a fine job of capturing. The temp file and "make DVD" on a HDD both play well with a generic DVD player.

I don't know how to get it to 0 and 0. It was a brand new disk out of the box.

If you use other non-Ulead burning software to check, will it burn?

Sony DRU-530A and TY disks should work with Ulead.

You will not be able to "get it to 0 tracks and 0 sessions because it is a normal DVD-R. Obviously, the disk is either faulty or your program has begun writing to it and was interrupted.

The software is perfectly correct in reporting this disk as "not readable", it has one open session and an empty track on it. Since there is no data it cannot be read. Being non-rewritable, it can also not be written to again.

Try a different disk. I would suggest to get a DVD-RW disk until you got your work flow sorted.
