Does anybody know if there is a way to attach a sound clip to a video clip so that the two would stay together no matter what, as if the sound was the sound originally recorded while shooting?
I know one can "group" a sound sequence with a particular video clip. However, when I later continue editing I end up ungrouping segments and sound clips get again detached from the video clips... frustrating.
Thanks,
Maukka
attaching sound to video clips - permanently?

Thanks,
I see, you create a new small video file and then impoort it back to the original timeline... hmmm... a bit clumsy but why not, better than having lose sound clips I guess.
What otions do you use for the video file?
AVI uncmpressed?
Are ypou sure you're not losing any quality when doing that?
Thanks again,
Maukka

Yes, I use AVI uncompressed.
Now, about loosing quality, this also depends on your Codec.
Personally, I use Main Concept DV Codec and I am very satisfied.
Believe that Panasonic DV Code (free) is also very good but I am not using it.
This being said, agree it is clumsy but as you said better then not having sound clip.
In fact, I am creating a lot of 3D animation (animated logos for coporate video) and then put the music on it. Final product has to be a single file (Digital Video) with the sound track. So, no choice in my case.

Bernard
