NTSC and PAL format problem

I'm having trouble changing the TV system from NTSC to PAL...whenever I change the format, it just changes back automatically and I have no idea why

I even installed it in the PAL format...my TV tuner card is set to PAL format too!

Please help

My computer specs are:
Intel P4 3.2Ghz
GA-ATI Radeon 9800XT 256MB
2*256 Dual RAM
DVICO FusionHDTV DVB-T (TV tuner card)
Onboard sound card (realtek)

Ulead video studio 7 SE DVD (came with the tuner card)

I have the same program and the same problem. I installed my program and I set (during the installation process) the default system to be PAL, instead of NTSC. And everithing worked fine.

But after I put the 20 free transition effects also (that can be dowloaded from the Ulead's site freely) on my computer, Video Studio's preferences were changed and set back to NTSC. So whenever I make a new project I always need to set back to PAL in the project properties. Fortunately in my case it won't be changed back automatically. like in Your case.

Is there a way where I can say to VS7 to what system to be the default one? I also put the patch 7.01 but the problem still occours.
