Building Slide Show in MF5

I am unable to display full screen jpgs in my slide show. After importing from Windows XP, they appear normal (full screen) until I add them to the slide show. When I preview the slide show, the photos display as if they had been cropped and contain a small central image surrounded by a wide black frame. It started out only happening occasionally and I thought this was some formating that came into MF5 from a cropped image or something. However, my last import from Windows all the images came in as if you were looking through a tunnel at them. What is going on?
