Capturing stops after 16 seconds

Post by PelleK »

I have a problem capturing analog video in Movie Factory 3.0SE.
I get the picture correctly in the capture window and when I click on the Capture Video button it says that I can capture 24 hours, but after the capture starts it stops after 16 seconds everytime...

I use a laptop with an external tv-tuner, and I've installed the "dmf3-patch-e".

Anybody know why it stops after 16 seconds?

Regards

Read all the information there and non of those things should be a factor on my system. It has to be some other problem.
Thanks anyway!

If you haven't checked how do you know it's none of those things?

You didn't say you turned off all uneeded programmes in your first post, anti-virus, firewall, screensaver, etc, you regualrly check before each capture that dma is enabled on your hard drive?

If you are not going to check the advice given to you.... figuring it out yourself will be the only option.

Hey sorry...

I just mean that those performance "boosters" mentioned in the text shoudn't make my computer able to capture 7200 seconds instead of 16...

Let's start over,

Please Read the following thread, and then post the required information. We only know that you are using a laptop with some type of external TV tuner..

But you see they might, which is why I suggested them.

Capturing apps are work intensive and something like a screensaver coming on can stop capture, the internet being accessed or the anti virus doing a quick check can stop capture, the hard drive not having dma enabled can mean data cannot flow through fast enough can stop capture.

That's me out.
