Has the mp3 issue been resolve in DPS4 yet ?

Post by miturro »

I have reinstalled DPS4 several times. No luck

I have removed all Codecs . video and audio except for base stuff.
No Luck there either

I used the updated DPS4 uninstall procedure :?:

I last used DPS4 last year and was recently updating my DVD with pictures when I discovered the problem.

Not only that but it appears to affect other Ulead programs MP3 Audio features

I haven't seen any updates/patches for PS4 that specifically address mp3 issues. That said, apparently only a small number of users have experienced problems. Anything I've converted using (any version of) the LAME codec via Easy CD-DA Extractor or DB Power Amp have worked fine for me. Converting mp3 files to standard WAV files seems to work for most users who have had problems.

With that being said. Le me explain. I have several DPS4 slideshows created that I have used for several years. DPS4 was handling them all well. No problems with mp3s or anything like that. No OS changes except the usual MS updates etc...

I tried to use them and now everytime I try to edit a slide show by changing the mp3 i get the error. This applies to even the .mp3s that ULEAD provides. I have reinstalled DPS4 I have disabled all codecs. no joy i have reinstalled the codecs no joy.

Maybe its not even a ULEAD problem but WS Media Player works Itunes works everything works but ULEAD

Converting to WAV files is not an option for me. The is no mention of criteria limiting .mp3 usage all theULEAD specs say is mp3 are fine

Why would I want to buy a product from them if they cant support it.

Oh and by the way I cant even run Ulead Video Studio either . It has a similar issue on my past useable video DVDs

Im geting pissed Im outta here

I would suggest to use some convert tool to convert your MP3 files to WAV files before you use the audio in DVD PS 4. The MP3 issue in DVDPS 4 is not solved yet.

If you have DVD MF 5, you can copy the uvMP3.vio from [DVDMF Install Folder\VIO] to [DVDPS Install Folder\VIO] to try (before you copy that file, make a backup of the DVDPS one). However, it might still not solve the issue.

mp3 error

Post by nikwashere »

Hey Folks,

I went here, http://zickle.hosting1.co.kr/applicatio ... arget/vio/ and downloaded the X.vio file. did a search for the same file on my PC and replaced it. (remember to rename the existing fileX.old just incase you have to reverse what you did!) I noticed that PS4 opened a lot quicker and then when i ran a preview of the slide show and it didn't crash! WOOHOO!

Cheers,

Nik
