Anyone using these divx players connected to a HDTV and able to playback their HD mpeg/wmv or divx files?

MD,
Check out the specs for these Divx players, carefully, because Dvix HD profile does not extend to 1440 or 1920 x 1080. Regrettably, 1280x720 is the max. In order to create Divx 1920x1080 it is necessary to use the "Unconstrained" profile, which may not be played properly in Dvix certified players.
I am using the IOData AVLP2 DVD player, which can playback Divx or Xvid 1920x1080 from either standard DVDs or external USB hard drive. Note that he AVLP2 is a bit geeky to use (you have to download firmware updates) and the LAN feature that streams video from a PC seems to be less than perfect but it is still the best, most affordable HD player at $250.

jchunter,
Thanks John, that's exactly what I was wondering. It's hard to find all the specs on these units. They say upto Divx 6 certified etc.
I've seen these units advertised in the local stores.
I was looking at the Divx & MP4 Codec for playback only since BD or HD-DVD isn't in the average consumer cost market.
The box your using sounds like the best choice. I had looked that up once before, nice unit.
Thanks for the input.

MD,
I should probably add that the AVLP2 geekieness is technical (slow boot up, slow response to the remote control, firmware loading, etc.) But it looks nice - just like any other DVD player and replaced my old DVD player with my wife hardly noticing. She uses it without any problems.
I don't know how long it will take to bring down the price of Blu-Ray equipment. The Sony internal BR burner/player for the PC is still quite pricey at $700. I haven't seen an external BR burner, yet.
