Would MovieFactory 5 Plus re-encode the mpeg movies as it creates the DVD? If there is a re-encoding/conversion, I figure there must be a loss of resolution / quality somewhere.

I've got a Sony DCR DVD-403 digital camcorder. The camcorder records to mini DVD disc. Each start/stop is in essence an mpeg movie.
Would MovieFactory 5 Plus re-encode the mpeg movies as it creates the DVD? If there is a re-encoding/conversion, I figure there must be a loss of resolution / quality somewhere.
