.VSP file format

Post by jackieeborn »

I'm new to this software and, quite honestly, I have no idea what to do. How can I convert .VSP into .MPG, .AVI, or .MOV? :?: Please help me out...

Hi jackieeborn,

When you are finished editing your project, firstly save your .vsp file to your hard drive so you maintain the latest version of that file. To create an MPEG-2 or AVI video file, click on the Share Step tab at the top of the program and then click on Create Video File in the Control Panel. This will provide a drop down menu with many types of video file types from which to save your .vsp file to. Pick the one that fits your output video source and create the video file. If you want to create a custom video file template, you must first click on the Tools button at the top left of the program window, then select Make Movie Manager from the drop down menu. You can create your own custom video file template and save it as a specific name, and this custom template will then appear in the Create Video File drop down menu. I have created my own template because the vast majority of the video files I make have the same video and audio properties.
Cheers,

Hi Jackie

The *.VSP is a Video Studio Project file.
The file is relatively small.

The file contains information about the content of the project.
All the editing details being saved as virtual links.
The saved project can be opened again for further editing.

Once you have finished the editing stage you create a Video File

Share--Create Video File

This process renders/combines all the edited info to a new video file.
This file should be DVD compliant.
The render process can take a long time, being dependent on many factors.

The new Mpeg file is now used to burn a disc
Share-Create Disc¡XAdd Video.

For a more information read the recommended procedure
Also my Quick Guide from the link below.

Good Luck

Trevor

Ps:--we all refer to Mpeg files, but any template to create an mpeg should be DVD not Mpeg.
