Extra menu templates???

Post by Chinthaka »

Hi,

I'm sorry but i could'n find a releted link to my problem.

I have movie factory 4 and don't have anyother Ulead software. I was wondering whether there was a way to add some extra menu templates apart from the ones i got when i installed Movie factory 4.

Thanks

That's not quite correct, is it?
When you purchased MF5 online, you got a mail with all the info and all the links to download. Including the content.
The mail told you how long the links were valid, and it told you to make a backup.

When you purchase, you also have the option (for an additional fee) to extend the period of time for your download link.

But you didn't download the content, you ignored the link expiration dates, and now you're complaining. If they give you a new link, then I think you should at least apologize and spend at least 6 months answering questions in this forum, OK? :P

you're right snoops.
I discovered this second file to download in a mail received on the 15th of nov, only to day ... and the link does'nt work any more of course.
There was too much text to read in english, for a french man.
I have sent a mail to element 5 to get another link. I hope they accept.
If they don't, may be somebody has another solution ? We will see.
So OK, I apologize.
And I'll spend 6 months ... asking questions in this forum !

OK, I guess if I got my mail in French I might have missed a few details too

You can use the URLs at the bottom of their mail for Customer Service and choose French as your language when you get there. Make sure to mention that the mail was in a foreign language for you.

As a last resort, you can click on your order, login, and purchase a download extension for about 8 Euros.

As long as you don't ask in french :P

I don't know about the legalities but I think the extras, since these are worthless without the actual program, should be available freely or could be made available by anyone who has got them.

Maybe someone can advice on this?

For anyone that's interested the extra menus available for purchase to be used with VideoStudio 10 will also work with DVD MovieFactory and also CD&DVD Picture show.

I think to be able to install these templates you need to have VideoStudio 10 installed on your computer. After installing them it creates new folders as follows:

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10\Content\Menu Template\4x3\Bonus
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio 10\Content\Menu Template\16x9\Bonus

To use these templates with MovieFactory you copy them to
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Content\Menu Template\4x3\Bonus
and
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5 Plus\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Content\Menu Template\16x9\Bonus

Similarly with CD & DVD Picture Show
C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead CD & DVD PictureShow 4\Content\Menu Template\Bonus

I think the fact that the extra DVD Menu templates are being offered for SALE by Ulead tends to suggest that we cannot share their templates.
There shouldn't be a problem creating your own and sharing those.

Steve,

Wait a minute. There are 2 different questions in this thread.

The OP is looking for additional templates. Didn't mention if they should be free or not.

The 2nd poster overlooked the content download he/she is entitled to, until after the link expired...
Anybody's link to the content will work as long as it has not expired. You don't have to login to access these downloads.

I think the answer might be NO. If Ulead provides those extra contents freely, then anyone who uses pirated version can download them also.

Sorry if anyone does not agree with what I typed here.
