How to?

Post by Jose Prieto »

Hi everyone!
I'm confuse a little about wich product am I have to buy for editing and recording on DVD. There are many great ulead systems but I don't know which one is the best or if I need to get a couple of them to start to work.
For example, I'd like to get video studio 10 for editing my videos, but, is that enough to record my projects on to a DVD with menus in order to see on tv? Please help!

Hola Jose
UVS10 has the ability to create DVD's of your video projects. Ulead DVD Movie Factory 5 specializes in creating DVD's. It appears to me that Movie Facory 5 has some more options in creating DVD's than UVS10.

It is true that Movie Factory may provide more flexibility during the DVD authoring phase but, to directly answer your question, yes, with VideoStudio you can edit, create menus, and burn a DVD. I find that VS10+'s customizable options, enabling you to change the background graphic, and add music and motion thumbnails, work and look great and offer a fine level of sophistication.

Wow! It is amazing how fast we can received help thru thius way. Thanks a lot jeff, thanks a lot "tocayito" Jose.

Well, according to your messages, I understand that with UVS10 I can finish a project completely, right? But movie Factory 5 can give more options to burn on to a DVD based on a UVS10+ project, is that ok?

You got it. VS 10+ will certainly do what you want. MovieFactory 5 plus will give you a more sophisticated approach to DVD authoring and also offers other burning utilities but it will not be as good an editor as VS 10+. It's horses for courses. You can get by with either but if you aim high in regards to editing and authoring, you'll need both.
