MovieFactory 3 upgrade, where did my edits go?

I'm a new DVD MovieFactory 3 user. I had been using MovieFactory 2. Anyway, I recorded a one hour TV program and had edited out the commercials. Everything was working just fine but the video was a little wierd in a few locations. So, I downloaded the newest updates and tried the same project again. The video was now fine, but my edits were missing. Starting over, I loaded the project and "previewed" the file and everything was good. So I recorded another DVD and the commercials were back. Has anyone else seen this problem? Or, is there something else I should check?
