CD Music and DVD Movie on same cd?

Post by prowebsource »

Is it possible to burn a dvd movie clip and some .wav or MP3 songs onto the same cd and have the movie play in a dvd player and the songs play in a cd player?

Still considering if this is the right program for this or not.

Thanks!

No this cannot be done with ANY software because you need a DVD disc to create and play a DVD movie. You need a CD disc to create and play a music CD.

You can create an Audio DVD but tht is not the same thing and will not play in a CD player.

Maybe CD-Extra or Mixed Mode CD can do that. They will have 1 track/session for audio and 1 track/session for data. In the data track/session you can put the VIDEO_TS folder to be a mini-DVD (technically).

However, the data track/session can only contain 20-minute video in max (for it's still 650 MB for CD-RW and 700 MB for CD-R). And, mini-DVD will have compatibility issue with some DVD players so it's not suggested.

You can get some information on these audio disk formats in the followings.

Mixed Mode CD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mixed_Mode_CD
CD-Extra: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_CD
mini-DVD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MiniDVD
