Overlay Track is poor quality

Hi,
I am using the trial version of videostudio 10.

If I drag my video onto the main video track it is fine.
If I drag it onto an overlay track it changes to half the size and loses a lot of quality.
This is very frustrating!
What am I doing wrong? Or is this some sort of limitation of the trial version.

The only reason I want this software is to chromakey the green background in my video to a pure white.

I would look in the help files but there aren't any installed!

With the clip in an overlay track, right click on it in the Preview window and choose Fit To Screen, OR, in File>Preferences>General tab check Use Fit-To-Screen As Default Size In Overlay Track. Quality should be the same as the main track.
