I will be appreciate to get some information about hard disk drive (HDD) camcorders and VS10+
As far as I know, those camcorders has not a firewire socket and the connection to the computer is by USB. Is it possible to capture via the USB using the "split by scene" option?
Any tip will be appreciated.

If you want to split by scene, the best time is after the capture is complete, so you can correct splitter mistakes or shorten clips. VS is able to do splits in Edit mode, without modifying the captured video file.
