Frequent Crashes

Post by hersch »

I am currently working with a trial version of MSP8 and like the interface and capabilities. Unfortunately, I am experiencing freqent crashes that cause the program to issue an veditor error message (vis basic) or simply quit back to the desktop. I have been following the board and have tried many solutions discussed. I ultimately when for a clean install of XP Pro, but the problem persists.

Before I make a purchase investement, I would like to feel confident that I can get the program running in a stable fashion. Any comments or suggestions would be much appriciated!

Pentium 4 @ 3.0 ghz
2 gigs memory
clean 300 gig data drive
ATI chipset (latest)
XP Pro (fully updated)

Thx in adv. for any help.

For a start, you would be better off posting your query in the Media Studio Pro Board -- this one is for Video Studio...

Moved to MediaStudio forum.

Why did you have to do a clean install of XP? This suggests you have a fault with your computer. When you did a clean install - was that a
'clean' install onto a freshly formatted hard drive or an upgrade install as a repair method for your exisiting XP system.
