Capturing Problems - No Audio + Some wierd video

Post by Heineken77 »

Hey Guys, I have an HP PC that came with a Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI ii card (model I believe 150) or (26xxx).

When I plug my satellite receiver into my card via the RCA/composite inputs (yellow red white), I start up Ulead VS 10 and click capture. I see my TV tuner in there and select it. Then I click on options and input sources, however I cAnnot choose the cApture card as an audio source. I only see line/in-mic available to me via ulead's options.

Has anyone ran into this problem before and corrected it?

#2 The video I cApture has a black bar along the side of the video and some noise at the top pixel line. Example:

Can anyone please help me out? Thank you for your time!

Why not plug the red and white into the line in of your sound card then and then choose line in.

The black bar and the noise will not be seen on a tv because of overscan, so you will need to live with it if you want to watch on a pc monitor, or crop the video. It won't be seen on a dvd on the tv.
