PC Freezing

I have a strange situation where my PC freezes (mouse standstill / harddrive light on - have to reboot). MSP has all the newest SPs, etc.

What can the problem be? It freezes at different % everytime. I've formatted the drive as MSP8 crashed often. The crashes are fine, but the freeze during rendering is more than it used to be.

I've updated the screen drivers, etc. MSP8 is stable except for the freezes.

I copied the project over to my laptop (with external drive on USB2). Here it rendered perfectly without any problems.

Sounds like a hardware problem like faulty HDD or Memory. Do a disk check and a memory check and defrag the HDD.

It seems to be the D: drive. I've connected the external USB case and drive, (disconnected D drive) and it rendered without problems. The D: drive was defragged several times with no improvement. I'll backup all data on it (only video clips) and format it. Let's hope for the best...
