I don't know what to do anymore

I like to keep others posted in case they have the same problem. I did some screen captures of the properties of all the files I've recently captured for all my compilations and then I did a screen capture of a couple files from a compilation I had no problem with.

The only major noticable difference was indeed the field. The capture that was successful was the Upper Field. Apparently when I installed Ulead VideoStudio 10, everything changed to Lower Field so everything I've captured since that (past two months of work) was captured with a different field.

If only I knew this and all those hours and coasters didn't go wasted. So now I'm recapturing everything with the Upper Field. Plus I will immediately make a compilation after I'm done with capturing to make sure everything is fine. I did a search on this board about fields and indeed other members said that cable TV should be captured with an Upper Field. I kept reading places that Lower is best. Well all the topics I've read in the past was from people capturing with their DV cameras.

So hopefully all will be fixed now. I'm going to be going even more insane now recapturing all this. Oh well. If anyone wants to know, I've tried everything to keep this at a Lower Field and also tried to change it to Upper, there's no solution but to start over. Hope this helps.

If this doesn't work, I'm going to jump off a bridge.
