i've got the .flv blues

i want to do a compilation video,
so i got a program that takes .flv files off youtube
but videostudio10 doesnt take .flv
do you guys know any way to get it to take .flv, or any free converters that will change it to an acceptable file type?
im a starving student, and cant afford to pay for a converter

Here's a link to RivaFLVencoder, which is freeware. Although used to encode to flv from avi or mpeg, it can supposedly work the other way.
